This event primarily aims to assist second-grade students in receiving pit and fissure sealing and dental caries filling treatment, thereby enhancing children's oral health, preventing dental caries, and strengthening their awareness of oral health care.
From March 26th to 28th, Yangchun City Dental Hospital, in collaboration with the dental prevention team from the Stomatological Hospital of Southern Medical University, conducted an oral health service activity at Heshui Central Primary School in Heshui Town, Yangchun City. During this event, 500 second-grade students from Heshui Central Primary School were eligible for pit and fissure sealing. Except for 12 students who had already undergone the procedure at the municipal dental hospital, the remaining 488 children all received pit and fissure sealing within three days. Onsite dental prevention personnel also delivered an engaging and informative lecture on oral health science to the students. Detailed records of the students' dental conditions were made, and they were also informed of other oral diseases. Through the physical examination forms, family members can understand the oral health condition of their children. This entire activity not only protected the dental health of the children and prevented dental caries, but also helped them establish a correct concept of oral health. It also raised the awareness of parents, teachers, and children about oral issues, thereby maintaining oral health.
