A total of 55 students, 10 parents and 10 teachers have attended our School Based Fluoride Mouth Rinsing Programme, and Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Abang Man at Simunjan was selected in collaboration with World Oral Health Day 2024.
Activities included lecture talk by Dr Diyana Natrah binti Sedek regarding the Importance of Fluoride in preventing dental caries among school children, especially in fluoride deficient areas such as Simunjan, Sarawak. Involvement of parents and teachers as well further helped to increase the awareness among the locals at Simunjan. Demonstration and brushing of teeth with modified bass technique were done with the students at SK Abang Man.
School based Fluoride Mouth Rinsing Programme is organised by Pejabat Pergigian Bahagian Samarahan, Sarawak.
