World Oral Health Day In the Mountains of Gilgit Baltistan

School visit

In commemoration of World Oral Health Day, Sadaf Hameed, a graduate from the Dental Hygiene Programme, took the initiative to raise awareness among school-going children in a private school located in Gilgit-Baltistan, a mountainous region of Pakistan. The event saw the participation of 300 students, where Sadaf conducted informative sessions focusing on oral hygiene and its pivotal role in overall health.

Employing interactive methods and engaging discussions, Sadaf effectively conveyed the importance of adopting proper oral care practices to the young students. The sessions were meticulously designed to impart essential knowledge and encourage proactive dental health habits among the children.

This exemplary endeavor not only aligns with the mission of the Dental Hygiene Programme but also underscores the dedication and leadership demonstrated by its graduates in making a positive impact in communities beyond the campus.

The initiative received widespread commendation for its significant contribution to promoting oral health awareness, particularly among the youth. It serves as a testament to the commitment of dental professionals to extend their expertise and educate communities about the importance of oral hygiene.

The Dental Hygiene Programme continues to inspire its graduates to actively engage in community outreach activities, thereby fostering a culture of oral health awareness and making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals across various regions, including remote and mountainous areas like Gilgit-Baltistan
