NOHP Puducherry - Dental Screening Camp at Nila Foundation - an Old Age Home

As part of the World Oral Health Month Celebration 2025 ,The Mobile Dental Unit Team conducted a Dental Screening and Awareness Program on 7th April 2025 at Lawspet, for the geriatric people in association with Nila old age home specifically catering to the oral health needs of elderly citizens.

This impactful outreach initiative benefited 30 geriatric patients, offering them comprehensive dental screening services in a comfortable and supportive environment. The program aimed to not only identify and address existing oral health concerns but also to educate senior citizens on maintaining long-term dental hygiene.

*Demonstration of Proper Brushing Techniques tailored for the elderly, emphasizing gentle and effective cleaning methods to prevent gum disease and tooth loss.

*Distribution of Oral Care Kits containing toothpaste and mouthwash to encourage continued oral hygiene at home.

*Individual Counselling Sessions to address specific oral health concerns and provide personalized advice.

 Dr. Kavipriya SNO, NOHP  & the Mobile Dental Unit team members played a vital role in making dental care accessible to this vulnerable segment of the population, reinforcing the importance of preventive oral health practices.
