World Oral Health Month Celebration
Theme: “A Happy Mouth is… A Happy Mind”

As part of the World Oral Health Month celebrations, a Dental Screening & Oral Health Awareness Camp was successfully conducted on 12th April 2025 at Cercle de , Puducherry.

The camp was a collaborative initiative by the Mobile Dental Unit, National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), and the Indian Red Cross Society, Puducherry, aimed at promoting oral hygiene and enhancing dental well-being in the community.

A total of 78 club members actively participated in the event.

Highlights of the Camp:
    •    Anti-tobacco awareness and screening were carried out by Dr. Kavipriya (SNO - NOHP), Dr. Suganthi (MDU), and Dr. Rikthu (PHC - Kalapet).
    •    Oral hygiene instructions were provided by a trained dental hygienist.
    •    Educational pamphlets and posters were distributed to raise awareness about effective dental care practices.
    •    Dental kits, including toothpaste and mouthwash, were given to all participants.

This initiative reinforced the critical role of oral hygiene in ensuring overall health and mental well-being. The enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from attendees reflect a growing awareness and proactive attitude toward maintaining oral health.
