To mark World Oral Health Day 2025, PHC Nettapakkam organized a comprehensive School Dental Health Program at Government Middle School, Pandasozhanallur. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about oral hygiene among students and staff, aligning with this year’s theme, “Happy Mouth is Happy Mind.”

The program was graced by Dr. Iyammal, Medical Officer In-Charge, Sub Centre Pandasozhanallur, and Dr. SivaSankari, Medical Officer, Siddha Unit, PHC Nettapakkam.

Program Highlights:
• Educational sessions were conducted to emphasize the importance of good oral hygiene.
• Each student received a dental kit consisting of a toothbrush and toothpaste.
• Teachers were provided with mouthwashes to encourage good oral hygiene practices.
• A live demonstration using dental models helped illustrate proper brushing techniques.
• The Mass Toothbrushing Activity served as the highlight of the event, where students and staff participated in supervised brushing, reinforcing the techniques taught.
• Pamphlets on oral hygiene were distributed to all participants.
