NOHP Puducherry - WOHD celebration for NCD clinic at Rural subcentre

WOHD 2025 Celebration – 11/04/2025
As part of the World Oral Health Day 2025 celebrations, an oral health awareness session was conducted at the NCD Clinic, PHC Sooramangalam. The program targeted both NCD and OPD patients, focusing on the theme “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind.”

Key highlights of the session included:
1. Awareness on the importance of oral health and its connection to overall health
2. Do’s and don’ts of oral care
3. Brushing technique demonstration using dental models and banners
4. Display and explanation of various types of toothbrushes and interdental cleansing aids
5. Insights into the harmful effects of tobacco on both oral and general health
6. Information on available dental facilities and the role of the Tobacco Cessation Centre (TCC) at Nettapakkam

Pamphlets on oral hygiene and the impact of tobacco were distributed to reinforce awareness.
Approximately 42 individuals participated in the session.
