WORLD ORAL HEALTH DAY MUKAH

In conjunction with World Oral Health Day, Pejabat Pergigian Bahagian Mukah has organized a one-month campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. The campaign was held in various facilities in Mukah, featured a variety of engaging activities including dental check-ups (at involved schools), oral health exhibitions, educational talks, interactive games (quiz) and various competition (colouring, word search) for children. 

The program targeted individuals of all ages, from young children to the elderly, emphasizing the theme of empowering individuals and prevention of oral health issues. Participants were given informational brochures, WOHD tokens (stickers, bookmarks and button badge) and had the opportunity to consult with dental officers on proper brushing techniques, diet, and oral hygiene practices.

This initiative reflects Pejabat Pergigian Bahagian Mukah’s ongoing commitment to promoting healthier smiles and fostering a more informed and proactive community when it comes to oral health. The campaign was met with enthusiastic participation, especially from the local schools and served as a reminder that a happy mouth is a happy life.
